Welcome everyone to the new Macht Law website! For those of you who are returning, you'll notice a new website and a new name. For those of you who are new, let me fill you in on what you've missed.
I've been practicing law since 2005. Initially, I started practicing in the public defender's office but after some time, I left and began my own practice in 2008. After eight years as a solo practitioner, a good friend of mine, Joel Schechet, came and joined the practice in October of 2016. And so began Macht & Schechet, PLLC.
After two years of practice we're parting ways. Vanessa and I will remain at the 61 N. Market Street address and we'll continue to assist people throughout Western North Carolina. Joel will be moving to a different location. Joel's new contact information will be added once I have the information for those looking for him. In the meantime, if you know anyone looking for assistance with a legal issue, please feel free to have them contact me.
